Why do ichthyology unless it's to go into the field and see fish in their habitat? Trips to the field make ichthyolgy exciting, and during the four field trips this year we will explore the wide range of habitats for fishes in Georgia. From the headwaters in the Georgia Mountains through Piedmont rivers to the Georgia Coast, the diversity of fishes in our state is among the highest in the country. Prepare to get wet.
